also not for nothing but in a real court that question or line of questioning would probably have been found inadmissible at the very least because it’s not relevant to what lillian luthor is on trial for, really, at all.
like if this line of questioning worked and was Good, do you not think that some smarmy lawyer wouldn’t have called DEO agents to the stand in other trials for criminals supergirl had helped to apprehend and asked the same question? that is just like not how any of this works

the thing is, the supergirl writers and producers just digged a biger hole to themselves with this ep. they literally cornered themselves into not having any other option but to make supercorp endgame. no other romance has the stakes, the drama, or the destiny dilemma that supercorp has. they literally showed us that the entire supergirl universe depends on kara and lena relationship. any other love story would be bland and boring. the biggest proof of true love towards kara would be someone dying to protect her secret identity and the biggest proof of true love kara could show to someone would be giving up her identity to save someone. they did that. supergirlcw cant give kara any other LI without destroying the show and making it meaningless
